The other day i was browsing around the email and i stumbled across a little gem known as Brooklyn Zoo. Essentially we’ve got ourselves an up and coming label out of New York holding some gems including the likes of Chew Fu and Estaw. Personally I’m most impressed with Chew Fu and his mantra of putting raps over old songs. Here’s a taste
Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams (Chew Fu Refix feat. J. Cast and Substanstial)
Chew Fu – Sunglasses at Night (Refix feat. J. Cast and A-Clay)
Steppenwolf – Born To Be Wild (Refix feat. A-Clay and Lee Majors)
Note to Reader: this last mix is killer
Also check out the Brooklyn Zoo blog.
On top of this I had to give out some extra loving in the form of Kid Cudi. All I can say about it is that it flows extremely well and its always refreshing to hear some hip hop with a more laid back beat.
Kid Cudi – Day ‘N’ Nite (Old Money Vocal edit)
Big shouts to Max/Emily/Heather
